Moira Callanan
Pilates Instructor
Moira is both a former ballet and Irish dancer and discovered Pilates for herself back in 2000. She used Pilates to improve her ballet technique and recover from injuries during her full time ballet training. She continued Pilates whilst attending university for dance, achieving an associate degree in Dance performance at QUT in 2005.
In 2010 Moira completed the APMA Pilates instructor course, whilst still completing her competitive Irish dancing career. After competing at Worlds in 2012, she completed her dance teaching certificate. She now has both her TCRG in Irish dancing and RAD registration in ballet teaching, which she still teaches around Sydney.
Moira loves to be able to use her Pilates knowledge to help everyone achieve their goals and prevent injury, as well as help rehabilitate their injuries. This interest in injury and exercise rehabilitation has inspired her to return to university to current study of Exercise physiology at UNE.
Moira in her spare time loves running, playing tennis (and watching tennis)
